Moyen Age by Hanna Maciejewska

Finally finished my moyen age sweater, I say finally because it feels like I’ve been knitting it for a long time, however my stats suggest that out of the 8 (yes 8) sweaters I’ve knitted this year this one comes 4th in terms of elapsed time. Maybe due to the shorter sleeves and flowing pattern. I could suggest it was because I solely concentrated on this project, but that would be a lie, especially since it didn’t even come to Luxembourg with us which was in the middle of it. However it does appear to win the most number of yards of knitting contest, according to ravelry’s calculations the 4 balls of purportedly fingering yarn is equal to 1743 yards of yarn. Anyway here are the details you’ve been waiting for:

Pattern: Moyen Age

Yarn: Ice Yarns Baby Alpaca Superfine (discontinued)

Needles: 3mm - used knit pro and again I have to thank Get Knitted for their fabulous service because 1 of the needles arrived broken and they replaced it immediately.

This photoshoot comes with a cat related story. Our cat Mischief loves to come on walks with us. It’s pretty normal behaviour for her. She doesn’t like cars and cowers in the hedge while they go past, but we went up the field at the back of the house and she came along and waited patiently while we were taking photos, then a dog walker came past… she decided to take on this labrador… funniest thing, I wish we had a photo of that. She puffed up her tail all big and started chasing him around the field! Luckily for him he was quick enough to escape from the mad killer cat. Then she came and sat all calm and sweet at my feet.
