Rock Island by Jared Flood

FO: Rock Island, this shawl has been on my knitting bucket list for some timeā€¦ I have always wanted to make it! When we went to the Bristol Wool Fair, I couldn't get the idea of knitting it out of my head, and knowing that value for money is better buying laceweight at a show I was on the look out for the perfect yarn for this knit.

I brought some Squeaky Elliot Elfyn's Lace, in a beautiful navy blue, and it was the perfect yarn for the job.

I spend a lot of my knitting time on trains and I remember picking up the stitches from the edge to knit the triangle section on the train to London to go to Lady Dinah's cat cafe and thinking how amazing the pattern is because I managed to easily pick up the correct number of stitches.

I think the final shawl turned out pretty amazing, so I gave it to someone amazing - my mother-in-law who is fantastic and puts up with me more than she should have to!
